Nia M. Smyrniotis, MD MS

Dr. Nia M. Smyrniotis is a Physician and Surgeon, Medical Director of the Florida Medical Specialty Group, and is Certified by the States of Florida, New York and California, to prescribe and recommend Cannabinoids (CBD) and Medical Marijuana for the Compassionate Use in providing patient care.

Dr. Smyrniotis also serves as Vice-President of the American Board of Medical Marijuana Physicians (ABMMP). The ABMMP is the only official certifying body in the United States which provides Board Certification to physicians with expertise in the medical therapeutics and use of cannabinoids and medical marijuana.

Dr. Smyrniotis graduated from Indiana University with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Chemistry and Biology. She acquired her Medical Degree, along with a Master’s Degree in Science and Physiology, from The University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School.

Her post-graduate residency training and background were in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Vincent’s Hospital, New York.  Dr. Smyrniotis also completed training in stem cell procedures, protocols, and treatment at the California Stem Cell Treatment Center, Cell Surgical Network, at Rancho Mirage, California.

Dr. Smyrniotis also has pursued her interest in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and integrative medicine and obtained her certification in Functional Medicine and Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. In addition, Dr. Smyrniotis has completed advanced Fellowship training in Functional Medicine. Dr. Smyrniotis is deeply committed to both the Hippocratic Oath and Declaration of Geneva.

Dr. Smyrniotis previously served as Medical Director, Stem Cell Research and Treatment, at the Miami Stem Cell Treatment Center, an affiliate of the Irvine Stem Cell Treatment Center and California Stem Cell Treatment Center, Cell Surgical Network (Rancho Mirage, California).  Additionally, Dr. Smyrniotis has served as Professor of Biomedical Sciences and Human Physiology, and Chairwoman, Department of Integrative Medicine, American University of Sovereign Nations School of Medicine.
